2005 NFL Mock Draft

Last updated: April 22, 2005

It looks all but sure the 49ers will take a QB at #1. It appears that it will be either Alex Smith or Aaron Rodgers, with Smith making a late surge to pull ahead. He's now #1 on the big board.

I think that the Arizona Cardinals will trade OT L.J. Shelton to Buffalo for RB Travis Henry. But even if they don't, I think Arizona will go QB if Smith or Rodgers falls to them at #8. With Kansas City landing Patrick Surtain, I no longer project them going CB at #15.

I did a two round mock with trades (for round one) -- click here to see it. Results will vary from this, but that's because of the trade factor. Plus this will be updated between now and the draft, whereas the two round mock was a one-off deal.
