Are you serious when you say the Patriots should give up 2 1st rounders this year, 1 2nd rounder this year, and next years first rounder to move up to the 6th slot this year??????????????? That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard regarding this draft. This draft is one of the deepest in the last decade and lower picks this year are worth much much more than in previous years. Thankfully it will never happen because Washington will take Taylor 5th. Also after giving that RANSOM what happens if Taylor gets hurt?

Lou: I'm not saying that it's a logical move for New England to make, but rather that Detroit would be able to command that sort of bounty to slide from the #6 slot. Maybe I'm being unreasonable in my outlook, but if I were Detroit, I would demand a rather unreasonable payout to slide down so far in the draft.

As for the depth in the draft, it all depends on your outlook... Certain positions (like WR) are ridiculously deep. But the chance for Detroit to draft a truly elite player (like Taylor or Winslow) to me seems to supercede any value that might be found in the late first round.
