Subject: your mock draft

It was pretty good. I would move some people around a little bit. But one large oversight you made was forgetting to add Thomas Davis, a safety out of Georgia. He is projected to go in the Top 15. Just a little FYI.

Lou: Thomas Davis is a bit of an enigma at this point. Much like Michael Boulware has proven to be in Seattle (LB in college playing safety in the pros), Davis has the capacity to play either outside linebacker or safety. Mel Kiper projects him as a linebacker, but in reality he's going to play the position that the team that drafts him needs him to fill. I've kept my eye on him and will give due consideration the next time I do my mock draft.

I heard that Parcells does not want to take a croner in the first round, but with all of the secondary problems the boys had last year and a talented group of DB's coming out, do you think that they will be tempted to take pac man jones or rolle if he is still on the board or possibly the saftey Thomas Davis from georgia

Also I seen a lot of draft boards having the cowboys taking a reciever in the first pick, but I would rather them use both picks on a d lineman and a corner, but how serious do you think the cowboys are on selecting say a braylon edwards or a mike williams.

Lou: I expect to see the Cowboys be players in the free agent market this off-season. What they do there should have a major impact on what they do in the draft.

Could Dallas really pass on Braylon Edwards if he's on the board (as I presently project) at #11? I think so, if Dan Cody is there. Dallas opted to trade down rather than fill their RB hole with Steven Jackson last year. Parcells will target the guys he wants, and that will be that. But needs will be addressed, for sure.

If Pac-Man Jones is on the board when Dallas has its second of two first rounders (which I think will ultimately be traded), he would fill a need... but I just don't see Dallas going young at CB. They want to win now, and I think because of that they'll address their corner needs via the draft.
