Great mock draft so far! One mistake though... You have OL Doug Free from Penn State. He actually goes to Northern Illinois University. I know it's picky but I went to NIU so it's nice seeing players from there getting picked high!

Lou: I just did my update early this morning, and the Free listing has been corrected. There's been some talk about NIU RB Garrett Wolfe and his big stats (including one sports commentator who ridiculously listed Wolfe as #3 on his Heisman vote list, ignoring the likelihood of major conference bias by voters, particularly to small conference RBs) but it's Free who has opened up some big holes that have set up Wolfe. Don't get me wrong, Wolfe is a good RB, but, as usual, the offensive tackle opens the door and goes largely unnoticed.

Incidentally, my favorite NIU player of all time is Michael "The Burner" Turner, who suddenly became a hot commodity this year in the NFL in one of those bizarre situations that happens from time to time in the league. Turner fell into the fifth round the year he came out, San Diego picked him, he waited patiently behind LDT, and when he got his chance to finally get some playing time, he has shined. Marty Schottenheimer predicted that he will lose Turner to free agency this off-season; contrary to some reports, Turner signed a three-year deal (not five) out of college. I expect San Diego to tender him the maximum offer for an RFA, then have someone (Daniel Snyder?) overpay to get him and give up a fifth rounder in the process. Turner is making $385,000 this season for the Chargers.

I anticipate the Heisman list (if there are five on it) to look something like this: Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State; Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma; Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame; John David Booty, QB, USC; Pat White, QB, West Virginia. Calvin Johnson should be on there but probably won't, which is a shame since he is the best WR in college football right now, in my estimation.
