Subject: Patrick Willis

Could the Chiefs go for this guy if Ted Ginn or CJ are gone? Cause lets face it Kendrell Bell hasn't been producing... or could we go OT or DT here what do you think? You say Brian Brohm but we just picked up Brodie Croyle

Lou: Patrick Willis is an outstanding ILB prospect, and with Kawika Mitchell in that position for the Chiefs, I would be quite surprised to see Willis go in the first round to Kansas City. Yes, Kendrell Bell has not been up to par at right OLB for the Chiefs, but considering that Derrick Johnson is at the other OLB spot, I would be most surprised to see Kansas City look to go OLB in round one. In later rounds, sure, but probably not round one.

Brodie Croyle has prototype height (6'3") and could be the man at QB in Kansas City's long-term plans. His strong arm helps as well, though there are concerns that his durability (with his thin frame) and injury history at the University of Alabama could be liabilities for him in the NFL, which is why he lasted until the 3rd round of the past draft.

With Kyle Turley's career winding down, the Chiefs could look to build up their OT position. Kevin Sampson was a steal for Kansas City in 2004, and he had played better than expected this year until suffering a recent injury. I also agree that DT is a position for the team to consider, particularly to free up DE Tamba Hali to do some damage from the left DE position.
